The warmth of a setting sun…air so crisp you could almost feel it snap like skinny twigs under your feet on a forest trail. Just the kind of fall day that makes you grab your camera and point it in any direction…there’s not a bad image to be made. And of course, a gorgeous backdrop for some killer portraits of Allison!

Amber & John | Expecting

I just finished this blog post last night and Amber and John, the lovely couple expecting their first child are no longer expecting! As of yesterday afternoon, they are now the proud parents of a lovely baby girl, Harper Nicole!

Hopefully I’ll get to post some photos of the baby soon, but until then enjoy these images!

Wooden fences always make great places to shoot…not to mention the setting sun!

Corn fields can also be another wonderful place…you can almost feel how crisp and crunchy the corn stalks are!

A few days later we did some more shooting by their home…gorgeous color was still everywhere!

A lovely afternoon at a local park a few weeks ago…it got a little chilly, and there were dogs and children everywhere! Still managed to find some hidden away places to get some wonderful shots.

There was a lovely field with a few trees here and there:

At the other end of the field we found this wonderful pile of tree stumps and logs…here’s Jess, looking adorably pregnant:

Along one side of the field there’s a creek by a covered bridge…and the sun couldn’t have been more perfect:

I did some shooting for a friend a few weeks ago, and here are a few that I’ve finally had time to give some photoshop lovin’ to! It’s pretty amazing what kind of awesome backdrops you can find if you just stop and turn your head while you’re walking down the street! One of my favorites:

Fire escapes come in handy for more than just an escape route:

A recent shoot for Feathermill Designs, though I think they wound up being pretty fabulous portrait shots as well! I took a range of looks, but here are the best dark background and light background shots. I came to particularly love the absolutely fabulous skin tones you can get from the Totally Rad Actions from doing a lot of playing around and tweaking with these shots. Enjoy!
